RECENT CAUSES

Food and Water: The SPAF is committed to develop grassroot communities on the basic essentials of life. Access to clean and portable water, and good food is critical to improving rural and urban productivity and initiative. Communities with well-fed inhabitants has one less difficulties to be concerned with, such community is able to come together and discuss plan to move the community, and by extension the country towards a lasting development.

It is our belief in SPAF that:

  1. We reach-out to the grassroot people in the six geopolitical regions of Nigeria to dialogue and listen to ways agricultural productivity can be improved.
  2. That each of these geopolitical regions develop agricultural practices to a level that it can produce at least one crop both for local consumption and exportation.
  3. The SPAF will continue to source for resources within and outside Nigeria to implement programs on food and water sustainability in all the six geopolitical regions of Nigeria.
  4. Attention should be shifted away from petroleum as the sole source income for Nigeria at all levels of governance; National, State, Local Government, and individual levels.

Medical and Health: Good healthcare services is a constitutional right of all Nigerians and visitors. However, healthcare services is currently seen as a “golden egg” out of reach of common Nigerians. In other to make healthcare services accessible to Nigerian, the government and NGOs, and individuals has to be big-time and persistent investors in the healthcare scheme. Adequate funding and provision of medical services need to be revisited at the rural communities where people do not have timely intervention for their medical ailments. It is true most medical services cannot be provided at rural or local communities, but SPAF believe that; the services provided should top-notch, and that there is no further delay at providing reference eservices to more serious cases that requires more sophisticated medical attention as obtained in some of our urban communities in Nigeria.

According to UNICEF, 145 women are lost per day in rural Nigeria due to pregnancy and child parenting problems, and that Nigeria ranked number two behind India in maternal death experience. The SPAF therefore have resolved to partner with communities and government in the establishment of adequate and functional healthcare services in our rural communities.

SPAF will reach out to communities on a rotational basis, but a communities in dire need, or a donor/volunteer can reach out to SPAF through the “Contact Us” link.

Education: Over 26 million Nigerian youth are unemployed. SPAF has an educational trust known as SPAF Educational Thrust (SET); a multidimensional, grassroots, vocation-focused and dynamic program. It is value-driven and geared towards the discovery, development and utilization of every innate potential and ability of both young and old, men and women in Nigeria, and diaspora. Our goal is to work with government or organizations with similar goals and agenda to those of SPAF, towards the overall educational development of Nigerians.

This program emphasizes and provides rural educational outreach and community based educational thrust that facilitates learning, recreation and sports development, a move that SPAF believe will tem urban congestion.

We aim at program designed and customized for the needs of our nation, focusing on talents and potentials inherent with the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

We also have resources to connect talented youth through more advanced education in science and technology in oversea developed countries of the world.

Sports: Nigeria is blessed with talented athletes and sport enthusiast. However, this potential currently goes to waste in terms of financial and human resources. SPAF is focusing on rediscovering those talents that have since gone into oblivion due to lack of support and encouragement. SPAF is poised to tap into her global network to advance sport enthusiasm in Nigeria. This we aim to achieve by;

  1. Promoting and sponsoring sport activities in Nigeria, including soccer, ping pong, tennis, track and field, and boxing to start with.
  2. Solicit for sponsors for Nigerians with potentials to go for international engagements.
  3. Facilitate better marketing packages for sporting events, and athletes in Nigeria.
  4. Raise funds to support sporting events at the six geopolitical zones, on a rotational basis.
